Maxwell Moldovan earned Co-Medalist honors at the Division 1 State Golf Tournament and won his 2nd consecutive individual State Championship. Maxwell joins an elite group of 2 TIME State Champions in the history of the Ohio Interscholastic Sports, including Jack Nicklaus ('56 and '57).  Maxwell finished the 2-Day tournament with an overall score of 149. Congratulations Maxwell!

The Boys Golf Team had an incredible 2^nd half of the season as they won 5 of their last 6 Federal League matches, including a huge win over Jackson to end the season. The boys qualified for Districts at Pine Hills Golf Club shooting a course best 313 and just missing a team state berth by 7 strokes. 

Defending 2017 State Champion, Maxwell Moldovan finished 2^nd overall (after a 2 hole playoff) at Districts and qualified for the state tournament as an individual this weekend. Maxwell will be making his 3^rd consecutive appearance at the state golf tournament in Columbus. According to head coach Jason Martin, “Maxwell Moldovan is an exceptional leader, hard worker and dedicated golfer whose had an incredible 2018 high school golf season as defending state champion. He is a super young man and a pleasure to coach.” Maxwell was a medalist in 4 out of the 5 tournaments he played in, including wins at iconic places such as Inverness Golf Club and Canterbury Golf Club. He has shot even par or better in every match or tournament this year with his best showings in the last two tournaments; 67 at Hickory Hills Golf Club and a 68 at Tannenhauf Golf Club in the sectional tournament where he was crowned Sectional Champion.

Maxwell will begin the 2 day, 36-hole state tournament on Friday at the Ohio State University Golf Club. His tee time is set for 10:40am on the Scarlet course hole #1. Good luck to Maxwell as he looks to defend his State Title this weekend.
