Head Boys Basketball Coach Mark Kinsley, officially announced his retirement in a players only meeting on Tuesday, March 14th, 2024. Coach Kinsley steps away from the Green Boys Basketball program as the winningest coach in GHS Basketball history with a career record of 411 wins and 256 losses. Coach Kinsley, a 1984 Green graduate and member of the boy’s basketball team, took over his alma mater in 1998 after previously serving as the head coach at Ravenna from 1995-1997. Throughout his 29-year coaching career, he has compiled a 411-256 record, and over the last 10 years has won 6 league championships (5 Federal League and 1 Suburban League), led his 2014-15 team to an undefeated regular season, earned 2 District Championships, made 2 Regional appearances and several coach of the year honors. Aside from the countless accolades, Coach Kinsley is a leader of young men not only within his program, but also within this community. He is without a doubt one of the most respected basketball coaches in NE Ohio.
