This afternoon, the Green High Boys Basketball Team lost to Canton McKinley by a score of 55-42. Both teams were off to a slow start with McKinley taking a 12-8 first quarter lead. It looked like McKinley was going to blow the game wide open adding 15 points in the second quarter, but Green's Zack Oddo hit a pair of threes and Garrison Keeslar hit a three and a two. Green had a chance to tie the game with a three right before the half but the ball would not go and neither wou;d the rebounded follow up shot. green cut McKinley's lead to 27-24 at the break. In the second half Green was held to 18 points while McKinley scored 28 points and took the 55-42 win and a District title. Senior Garrison Keeslar led Green with 13 points and Senior Donovan O'Neil an Sophomore Zack Oddo added 10 points each. McKinley's Kobe Johnson led all scorers with 20 points, C. J Hall had 14 points, and Xavier Black scored 10. Canton McKinley plays nextweek at Cleveland State in the Regional Semi-Finals.
