Tonight, the Number 2 Seed Green Boys Basketball Team defeated the Number 3 Seed Youngstown Boardman in the Canton District Semi-Finals by a score of 61-47. Boardman had won 16 games in a row and was hoping to play Saturday against the defending District Champs, Jackson. However, the stingy Bulldog defense put the bite on that dream by outscoring the Spartans by a score of 34-19 in the second half. Kaleb Martin led the Bulldogs with 25 points and was 15-16 at the free throw line. Garrison Keeslar was breathing fire when he came out of the locker room and hit two threes and ended up with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Donovan O'Neil added 11 points. Boardman's leaders were Derrick Anderson with 16 and Che Trevena had 11. The Green Bulldogs will face Jackson on Saturday at 7:30 at the Canton Civic Center for the District Championship.
