Tonight, Coach Kinsley accomplished something that no other coach in Green High Boys Basketball history had done and that is win the Division I District Boys Basketball Championship. The Bulldogs defeated the Jackson Polar Bears by a score of 65-45 and will be going to next Wednesday night's Regional Semi-Final game at Cleveland State University. The Bulldogs were down 9-8 at the end of the first quarter and then just blew the Polar Bears off the court by outscoring them 27-7 in the second quarter for a halftime lead of 35-16. Green outscored Jackson in the second by a 30-29 to take a twenty point victory. Kaleb Martin led the Bulldogs with a season high 35 points while Garrison Keeslar fired in 23 points. Alex Casper added 7 which rounded out the scoring for Green. Jackson's Anthony Mazzeo led Jackson with 17 and Hayden Junker had 10.
