Tonight, the Green Boys Varsity Basketball team traveled to Canton to face Canton McKinley and suffered its first loss of the season by a score of 53-46. The scoring leaders for Green(5-1, 3-1) were Trey Martin with 12 points and Shea Simmer with 10. Canton McKinley's(4-1, 2-1) scoring leaders were Brent Welker with 17 points and Kobe Johnson with 13. Green led at half time by a score of 27-26 but were outscored 27-19 in the second half. The JV game was won by McKinley by a score of 43-30. Green will host Solon next Saturday, December 28 beginning with the JV game at 11:30 A.M. followed by the Varsity game at 1:00.
