Tonight, the Green High School Boys Basketball Team, clinched at least a share of the Federal League title by defeating the host GlenOak Golden Eagles by a score of 50-48 in a nail biter. The Bulldogs trailed by 2 at the end of the first quarter and then tied the score at 24-24 at the buzzer to end the first half. At the end of the third quarter, the Bulldogs trailed by one, down 35-34. With two minutes left in the game, it looked bad for the Bulldogs as they were behind the Golden Eagles 48-41. But that's when the Bulldogs picked it up. Shea Simmer hit a three from the corner to cut the lead to 48-44. Then, Garrison Keeslar went to work scoring six straight points to pull out the 50-48 victory. His bank shot with 4.3 seconds left was golden. GlenOak tried to get the ball up court for a shot but was stopped bt Green's stingy defense. Keeslar led all scorers with 20 points with 13 coming in the fourth quarter. GlenOak's leaders were Christian Parker with 17 points and Kendel Richardson with 10. Green will travel to Jackson Friday night to try and win the Federal League title outright. The JV game starts at 6:00.
