The Green Boys Varsity Golf Team advanced to the District Golf Tournament next Monday, October 10 at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinchley, Ohio by placing second in the Tannenhauf Sectional Qualifier. The Bulldogs shot a round of 316 which was just three shots behind the Jackson Polar Bears who shot 313. Junior Kyle Smith of Green shot the low round of the tournament which was a one under par round of 71. Kyle had 4 birdies and 3 bogeys in his amazing round to lead the Bulldogs. Others scoring for the Green Team were Junior Evan Raymond 80, Senior Grant Schlue 81,and Freshman Silas Kirkpatrick 84. Brady Trejbal also played but was not in the scoring mix and shot 86. Behind the Bulldogs were the teams of Dover in third with a 320 and North Canton Hoover shooting 326. Individuals advancing were Liam Curtis 76 from Kent Roosevelt, Zack Root 77 from Louisville, Andrew Arway 78 from GlenOak, and and Adrian Puz 78 from Austintown-Fitch.
