Revenge may be best served cold, but it was a sweltering August day when Green got Hoban back for eliminating them from the state tournament last year. With 59% possession and 404 passes, Green dominated the game. Jared Genovese opened the scoring, and Owen Smythe grabbed the next three, including a brilliant solo effort to end the scoring.
The rout didn't erase the taste of last season's loss, but it was surely a great way to start the season.
