BARBERTON HIGH SCHOOL: 44
The Lady Bulldogs won their season opener verus the Barberton Magics last night 59-44. Senior, Olivia Payne, led all scorers last night with an impressive 20-point performance. Alyssa Ziehler (JR) added 13 points and multiple key rebounds for the Bulldogs. Lizzie Piercy (JR) went 2-2 behind the arc and added another bucket in the 4th to finish with 8. Close behind her was junior point guard Bri Hunt who finished the night with 7 points but was responsible for many more with her distribution of the ball.
Also scoring for the Bulldogs: Riley Chmielewski 2, Madi Pukansky 4, and Ana Kulina 5.
Barberton's Hailey Haywood led her team with 9 points on the night.
