The annual season kick-off meet is an intra-squad meet. The team is divided into two sub-teams and them meet is run as a regular meet with the exceptions of the specialty stroke events being 50s instead of 100s to speed up the meet to run in our regular practice time and to get times for putting together the medley and sprint relays. This year the Black Team outpointed the Orange Team. The meet also familiarizes the incoming freshmen with the procedures and speed of a high school swim meet.
