Next was a combination of Allison Lovett and Alyssa Holt securing the second spot, battling through some adversity, staying positive and keeping the momentum moving on. Third was Emersyn Black who stayed consistent throughout the day, picking up spare after spare and some great splits to keep the score up. Our fourth spot was secured by Marissa Perrine who was solid, throwing alot of strikes throughout the afternoon, staying focused, positive and ready the moment. The anchor position was held down by Veda Hughes, who threw quite a few strikes all day, adding back to back strikes in the 10th frame, in 9 of 18 games, staying consistent and finishing games how they needed to be. The lady bowlers stayed strong through a long, 8 hr tournament. Each round of the tournament was the best of 5 format. We started off beating Howland H.S. in 5 games, a close match, then onto the semi-final round where they beat division rival Canton-McKinley in 4 games. In the championship match, the girls rolled through a very good Girard team, winning the championship in 4 games. These girls are poised and ready for doing great things in the future, GO BULLDOGS!
