Green Bulldogs Varsity Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Loyalsock

The Green Bulldogs Varsity softball team jumped out to an early lead over Loyalsock and took home a 7-1 victory on Monday. Green scored on a single by Madi Pukansky in the first inning, a single by Alyssia Carmichael in the second inning, a single by Campbell Collinsworth in the second inning, and a double by Brooke Agosta in the second inning.

Green secured the victory thanks to four runs in the second inning. The Bulldogs' offense in the inning came from singles by Carmichael and Collinsworth and a double by Agosta.

In the bottom of the first inning, Green tied things up at one. Pukansky drove in one when she singled.

Green pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Carmichael singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Collinsworth singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Agosta doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Grace Hammer got the win for the Bulldogs. She went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits and striking out 12.

#5 took the loss for Loyalsock. She allowed seven hits and six runs over three innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Green racked up ten hits. Pukansky, Agosta, and Carmichael all managed multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Pukansky led Green with three hits in four at bats.
