Cloudy skies and a threat of rain did not stop the Green High School Boys Varsity Golf Team from winning the 2021 Federal League Pre-Season Golf Tournament at The Elms Golf Club today with a score of 298. After tournament rounds of 310 and 322 earlier in the season, the Bulldogs finally hit pay dirt with Senior Matt Stephan firing a 2 under Par round of 33-37-70. Matt picked up the Medalist Award for the tournament while Kyle Smith shot an even par 72 with nines of 35-37. Other scorers included Nathan Raymond who shot a round of 37-39-76 and Grant Schlue rounding out Green's scoring with 38-42-80. Also playing for Green was Trez Cobb 38-43-81 and Cole Trejbal 42-42-84. Lake was runner-up in the tournament with a score of 303 and was paced by Jack Armstrong who was also runner-up in the Individual Race shooting a 71.

The Bulldogs next match will be in Cuyahoga Falls on Thursday at Brookledge Golf Course in the Walsh Warrior Invitational at 9:00.
