It wouldn't be a soccer season in NE Ohio if rain wasn't a factor. Usually that's a problem in October, but the Green Bulldogs had to wait out a storm for a day before finishing their game against a very strong Archbishop Hoban team. 

A new season means new challenges and Green is making adjustments from the coaching staff down as things kick off. The Bulldogs emphasis on speed in transitions and winning the ball back quickly was evident against Hoban, even if some early season rust meant things didn't flow as smoothly as possible. Set pieces defense will be another point of emphasis for Green this season, and it was unfortunate that let them down against the Knights, who finally broke the dead lock in the second half.

Still, there is reason for optimism this season for Green. Freshman and sophomore talent is taking a step forward to pair with upperclassmen already holding down well earned positions. If the first game was any indication, this team is going to be a tough out.
