The devil is often in the details. Sometimes, though, it's in 60 yard long balls to Vincent Gigante. Green was unable to handle the threat offered by Lake's target man up top. Lake scored initially off a back post tap in the first half. From there, Green fought back and even controlled the game for large parts of the second half. Ultimately though, Lake was able to keep dumping balls into their big man. Eventually, it paid off. It was another long ball that was the Bulldogs undoing. A beautiful night for soccer went by with another tough defeat.
